Jeffrey Danson (Comedian/Food Enthusiast)

Jeffrey Danson grew up accompanying his mother and father to the numerous bagel shops, hockey games and other Montreal activities like weekly visits to the Atwater Market (as the family's "official taste tester"). From a young age Jeffrey gravitated to food, sports, and making people laugh. Spending his summers eating at his cottage on Georgian Bay, winters playing competitive hockey and later traveling Europe with his friends whenever the opportunity arose, Jeffrey is a true example of a cultured fat boy sportsman ready to take on the challenges of comedy and eating.

After completing the majority of his undergraduate degree at Concordia University, Jeffrey moved to Toronto to pursue the remainder of his degree and an opportunity at The Score Sports Network. In August of ‘09, Jeffrey answered his calling, and moved to New York City to chase his dream of performing comedy for the very first time. In New York City, he performed four times, three times at NYC Comedy Club and once at Gotham Comedy Club. Along side of performing comedy Jeffrey took interest in vast range of fine food offered amongst NYC's restaurants. Returning to Toronto in September 09, he knew that critiquing restaurants was going to be a new profession.  “I’ve always loved and cared for food the most. Why not make it more a part of my life?” - Jeffrey Danson.

In the Fall of 2009, Jeffrey penetrated the Canadian comedy scene performing all over Toronto, as well as attending the 09 Emmy's and the first ever Middle Eastern Comedy Festival. Through all of these experiences, he has been able lay the foundation for success in an industry that is notoriously difficult. He continues to be based in Toronto, where he can be found at your local food suppliers, performing stand up comedy, acting and working for the Score Sports Network.
